95 Point, Multi-Award Winning Wine from Tasmania
2018 Tertini Tasmanian Riesling
Tasmania has rightfully taken its place on the world stage as a pre-eminent region for cool climate wines offering elegance, structure and bright aromatics. The exceptional quality of the terroir continues to attract winemakers and considerable industry investment, even though the small volumes made here currently represent just 1% of national production.
The awards for Tertini's 2018 Tasmanian Riesling speak for themselves: two gold and two silver medals at some of the most prestigious wine shows in the world, and two 95 point reviews from leading Australian wine critics, James Halliday and Huon Hooke.
The fruit for this wine comes from the pristine environment and rich, ancient soils of the Coal River Valley, just north of Hobart. The vineyard is situated on a northeast facing site, with a slow ripening period that ensures the richness, aromatic development and balance for which Tasmanian Rieslings are renowned.
Fragrant aromas of lemon, lime and florals lead to citrus and apple flavours on the palate, complemented by crisp acidity. Drink now or cellar for another 8 years.
