Champagne for Christmas
Celebrate the festive season with two of our favourite boutique Champagne producers: Gallimard Père et Fils and Pierre Moncuit. There's something for everyone in our online shop. Browse our hand selected sparkling range.
Gallimard Père et Fils is a boutique Champagne house, owned and operated by a talented father and son duo, Didier and Arnaud Gallimard. Arnaud’s adoption of the solera method to retain a perpetual reserve Champagne of six different vintages, enables a level of character and complexity that can only come from blending older wines. Gallimard's non-vintage Champagnes also spend 24 months on lees, instead of the minimum 15.
Champagne Gallimard Grand Réserve Blanc de Blancs Brut NV
Made only with Chardonnay grapes, the Grand Réserve embodies all the elegance for which Blanc de Blancs is famous. Light straw in the glass with a fine, persistent bead, the palate has lashings of green apple, baked spice and a subtle note of buttered toast and brioche. A pleasant amount of cleansing acidity on the finish. Great brightness and vivacity.
Champagne Gallimard Cuvée de Réserve Blanc de Noirs NV
The Cuvée de Réserve Blanc de Noirs NV is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes – 30% reserve wine and 10% solera from 6 vintages. A multi-award winning Champagne, it is full-bodied and rich, whilst still vibrant and aromatic. Light gold in colour, beautifully balanced with baked apple, berry and brioche on the nose, and a creamy, yet refreshing palate. An outstanding aperitif, or a divine match for seafood and poultry.
Pierre Moncuit is a Grand Cru Grower Champagne producer in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Originally founded in 1889, the property is devoted entirely to Chardonnay, with an average vine age of 50 years - much older than the standard in Champagne.
Pierre Moncuit 'Delos' Grand Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs NV
The 'Delos' is the flagship Champagne of the family-owned estate, and is aged in cellar for a minimum of 3 years before release. This is an elegant, expressive Blanc de Blancs, always from a single vintage. Only 4,000 cases made.
"A classy blanc de blancs, offering fine balance...Refreshing and harmonious." 92 Points, Wine Spectator
Pierre Moncuit Grand Cru Rosé Champagne NV
An assemblage of about 88% Chardonnay and 12% Pinot Noir. Light in colour, with a persistent fine bead and subtle raspberry and strawberry aromas. Delicate and lively on the palate, with a long finish. An excellent aperitif, or a great match for desserts with red fruits.
