Classic White Wine from the Veneto
From the verdant landscape between Verona and Lake Garda comes this elegant Garganega, one of Italy’s ancient white varietals and the main grape used in making Soave. Garganega is known for its generous perfume, often showing aromas of white blossom, stone fruits, baked apple and almonds.
The Degani Winery is a super boutique, family-run operation located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region. According to Gambero Rosso, one of Italy’s most respected wine publications, “they amaze us by regularly turning out great results, vintage after vintage. Wines of high quality and lashings of personality.” We are very lucky to be the exclusive importer of their portfolio into Australia.
The Degani Garganega is straw yellow in the glass with bright aromas of apple and pear. Soft and round on the palate, the Degani Garganega makes a great aperitif and also complements dishes quiches and frittatas, fish or seafood. A perfect partner for vegetarian or seafood risotto.
