In recent years, Sicily has experienced a meteoric rise, securing a reputation as one of Italy’s most exciting wine regions. It also happens to be a veritable dream destination for tourism, offering a bounty of sumptuous food and wines, breathtaking scenery and a rich cultural heritage. With the sunniest climate in all of Italy, complex topography and varied soils, this is also a highly enviable viticultural environment, and it is no wonder that more and more industry names are trying to get a piece of the action.

Baglio Cristo di Campobello has a long history here, and relies heavily on the roots of the Bonetta family, who were long term bulk producers before opening a state-of-the-art winery in 2006. The current vision is dedicated to making fine wine expressing the true character of Sicily. The winery has earned a plethora of accolades from noteworthy reviewers across their entire portfolio, with both native and international varieties playing a starring role.

The Adenzia Bianco is a superb blend of two complimentary grapes, Grillo and Insolia. Traditionally used to make Marsala, these varietals now appear in the island’s signature dry white wines. Sometimes compared to Chardonnay, Grillo is a robust grape with enough structure, complexity and acid retention to be made into a variety of styles. Insolia adds a bit of softness, with white flowers and ripe fruit being its main characteristics.

The Adenzia Bianco is aged on lees for three months in temperature-controlled stainless steel, before spending another 2-3 months in bottle. Enticing notes of citrus, white peach, and pineapple emanate from the glass. The wine demonstrates intense purity of flavour - fresh and round on the palate with enough acidity to ensure cellaring potential of up to 10 years.
