2017 Ferrero Brunello di Montalcino - A stunning rendition of Tuscany's famous Brunello di Montalcino, one of the most esteemed production areas for Sangiovese. Made entirely from the local clone of Sangiovese, this is a rich, complex wine with great structure and ripe tannins in balance with palate weight and acidity. Long and clean on the finish with exceptional potential for long-term cellaring. Only 500 cases produced. 15%
2016 Villa A Sesta 'Sorleone' Chianti Classico Gran Selezione - From Tuscany's extraordinary 2016 vintage and representing the highest classification in the region of Chianti. Gran Selezione wines must be made only with estate-grown fruit and aged for at least 30 months before release. Intense ruby red in the glass, with floral aromas and cherry, dried fruit and herbal notes on the palate. A perfect match for aged cheeses, cured meats and hearty stews. 13.5%
2017 Fabio Oberto La Collina di Dioniso Barolo - An exceptional Barolo from one of the most noteworthy grower producers in the tiny commune of La Morra. The Fabio Oberto Barolo sits somewhere between a classic and modern style. Pretty aromatics of strawberries and dried red berries. Earthy aromas add layers of complexity and depth. On the palate, this is a complex wine, with fine tannins, medium to full body, with delicious juicy fruits and a lingering finish. Cellaring up to 2040. 14.5%
2017 Le Tobele Amarone della Valpolicella - Made from partially dried grapes in the appassimento method, Amarone is known for its concentrated flavour and dense, velvety texture. The 2017 Le Tobele delivers rich fruit in abundance: blackberries, plums, and cassis, complimented by sweet spices like vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Best appreciated when decanted for at least two hours. 15%
2018 Larry Cherubino 'Uovo' Grenache - Made in a clay cement ovoid tank - a giant "egg" - the lees are continuously forced upward by an internal current resembling a vortex. This gives the wine voluptuousness, purity and texture. This is a medium bodied Grenache with fine tannins and aromas of musk, red flowers and cherry cola. The accolades say it all, this is an exceptional vintage available in extremely limited quantities. 2021 Halliday Wine Companion - 95 points; James Suckling - 93 points; Gourmet Traveller International Wine Challenge - Gold. 14.3%
2018 Cristo di Campobello 'Lusira' Syrah - One of the top-tier wines from Cristo di Campobello, ‘Lusira’ consists of 100% Syrah, aged in French barriques for 14 months and a further 12 months in bottle before release. Dark ruby in colour, Lusira offers refinement and complexity, with an impeccably smooth and lasting finish. “The major attraction of this wine is its elegance, which caresses the mouth with intense and complex red fruit jam, taking on spiciness and finishing with a vanilla note that coats the tannins, giving a caressing mouth feel.
