Mixed Wines from Puglia

Feudi di Guagnano Summer Mix

This mixed pack features three delightful summer wines from Feudi di Guagnano in Puglia, the sun-drenched heel of Italy’s boot. Long recognised as one of Italy’s most bountiful agricultural zones, Puglia is blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year and refreshing sea breezes from each side of the peninsula.
In addition to its considerable wine production, almost half of Italy’s olive oil is bottled here. Food and wine tourism has surged in recent decades, with many referring to Puglia as "the new Tuscany", thanks to its authentic culture, culinary offerings and casual pace.

Feudi di Guagnano was founded as a partnership between three families seeking to preserve their family legacies in the centre of the Salento peninsula. All three of these wines will complement a broad array of cuisines, however, we suggest trying them with the fresh seafood that is so common in their native land. Enjoy Executive Chef Nino Zoccali's recipe for steamed shellfish with baby artichokes and olive oil from his second cookbook, Venetian Republic.

2021 Rosaró Salentino – Made with Puglia’s native Negroamaro grape. Pleasant hints of red fruits, Mediterranean herbs and anise. Soft, balanced and persistent with citrus fruit and a subtle balsamic note on the finish. A perfect match for light pasta dishes, seafood and mild ricotta cheese. One of the winery's most awarded wines, including: ‘Best Rose in Italy’ 2018, Autochtona Bozen Festival; Silver Medal, Mondial du Rosé, Cannes, 2019.

2021 'Terramare' Fiano – With a similar palate weight to Pinot Grigio and Semillon, Fiano's clean acid line makes it particularly food friendly and enables medium-term cellaring. In the glass, the wine is straw yellow with green reflections. Delicate notes of white flowers on the nose open up to reveal green apple and pear on the palate. Ideal with summer salads, seafood and chicken.

2021 'Dieci Anni' Chardonnay – Handpicked and matured in French oak for 6 months, the Dieci Anni is straw-coloured in the glass, with golden reflections. Hints of jasmine, and spice on the nose lead to yellow peaches, herbs and butter on the palate. A brilliant match for fish, shellfish and poultry.
