This is a stunning Chianti Classico, comprising 92% Sangiovese and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. The qualification of Riserva means that the grapes need to have been matured for at least 24 months prior to release. Villa a Sesta take this up a level by maturing the grapes for 30 months in barriques, with an additional 18 months in the bottle prior to release. The result is a mature and refined wine. Ruby red in the glass, it offers enticing aromas of cherry, violet, tobacco, vanilla and dark chocolate. The nose is fruity, mineral and spiced, boasting a wealth of flavour, softness and elegance with every sip.
