Ribolla Gialla is a native varietal from Friuli, in Italy's northeast. This rare ancient varietal is known for its floral and citrus aromas, reminiscent of summer in the Italian countryside. Straw yellow in the glass with golden tints, the wine entices with aromas of apple, pineapple and citrus. The wine spends a small amount of time on skins, adding a bit more texture, but is clean and fresh with hints of pear, blanched almond and lemon. Medium bodied with great acidity and length. An excellent match for shellfish and sushi or simply as an aperitif.
