The “little rascal” of Piedmont, as the name translates, is not often seen in Australia, however, it is an excellent match for Tertini’s Yaraandoo vineyard near Berrima. High natural acidity from this cool climate, relatively high-altitude location ensures a clean finish and medium-term cellaring potential. In the glass, the wine is pale lemon with aromas of apple and stonefruit, followed by savoury almond and subtle vanilla notes on the palate. A great alternative to Chardonnay that will complement seafood and poultry. (Vintage not as pictured.)
