Cavazza Syrah Cicogna Veneto IGT is a limited-production red sourced from carefully selected hillside vineyards in the Colli Berici, where iron-rich clay and limestone soils contribute to the wine’s depth and character. Made from 100% Syrah (Shiraz), the grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, then fermented in stainless steel with skin contact to extract colour and structure. The wine is aged for around 12 months in small French oak barrels, adding complexity, texture and subtle spice, while reflecting the estate’s focus on artisanal, terroir-driven winemaking.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour with violet hues, leading to an intense and layered bouquet of ripe wild berries, black cherry, coffee and liquorice, underscored by smoky and gently herbal notes. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with fine tannins, lively acidity and concentrated flavours of dark fruit and spice. The finish is long and persistent, with a savoury, peppery edge that enhances its appeal as a food-friendly, structured red suited to roasted meats, game and aged cheeses.
