Situated between Verona and Lake Garda, brothers Aldo and Luca Degani are dedicated to producing fine wines in the signature styles of Valpolicella, using stringent cluster selection and meticulous attention to detail throughout the drying, crushing and vinification processes.
After a 15-day period on the skins and lees of the Amarone, the 2020 'Cicilio' Ripasso rests in French oak barrels for 24 months, adding more structure to the final product. The wine displays notes of fresh violet, mint, blueberry and a subtle hint of musk. Silky in texture with ripe red fruits, and a layer of minerality, this is a wine which seems to offer new characters with each sip.
